Trailing:
Model - Georgie Dennis
It was very beneficial practising on Georgie as she was going to be my model on the assessment day as well so it gave me the chance to perfect my design before the real application.
Make-up:
Both designs were so much more successful on this day. It was still mainly a trial and error application mainly with the make-up as I kept changing what I wanted to do. From this trial I realised the eyebrow stencil would only take proper effect if it was applied further up the head, this avoided any smudges from the eyebrows or glue on them. I also decided to use no supra colour on the eye and instead just used the brown disobey powder to cover the lids. This helped the eyebrows stand out a lot more. I also changed the lip shape to a pouted/pursed lip so that my design still incorporated some 20's and 30's references. I kept the blue though because I thought it paired really nicely with orange. Finally I got to included some fake lashes but only the black ones. I decided they would be added below the water line to add a more dramatic element.
Hair:
The hair was much easier to style during this as I had decided beforehand that I wanted to add numerous knots to the head. But I really didn't know how it was going to pan out. The parting of the hair had to be so straight and particular so that was very time consuming! Bearing that in mind I turned up to the real assessment a little earlier to I was able to prep the hair to save me time. I got a much better shape with the kiss curls to, I still didn't have gel till the actual day but the more I practised them the better they looked. I did include to much hair in them so I ensured only to part a thin bit during the assessment to enable me to create a rounded, symmetrical shape.
